Shape Transportation Infrastructure as a Bridge Project Engineer – Design, Mentor, and Elevate Structural Excellence

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to join our Bridge Team in Buffalo, NY; Rochester, NY; Syracuse, NY; or Albany, NY. You will help lead the design, analysis, and delivery of innovative bridge and structural solutions, take ownership of impactful projects, mentor emerging engineers, and advance our technical excellence across a wide range of transportation structures.

What You’ll Do

• Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex bridge designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with multidisciplinary engineering disciplines and project management staff.
• Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructure.
• Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost‑effective solutions.
• Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 4 years of discipline‑specific engineering experience required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred.

Salary Range

$100,000 – $110,000. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
