Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks a senior Electrical and Electronic Systems Specialist 3 to lead for Chehalis, Wishkah, Heron, Riverside and Simpson bridges. You will ensure electrical, electronic, monitoring, and control systems operate safely and reliably, supporting travelers and WSDOT staff.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or higher electrical/electronic credentials or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic codes, regulations, and standards.
• Leadership skills to guide in-training and junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead senior-level electrical and electronic systems maintenance on bridges.
• Lead, mentor, and assist staff in preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Plan and manage preventive maintenance using CMMS and ensure compliance with NEC, WAC, MUTCD.
