Qualifications

• Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
• Current registration as a Licensed Structural Engineer in the State of Illinois.
• Seven years of experience in civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Directs the preparation and development of all departmental bridge and structure plans.
• Directs the review and approval of consultants and local agency prepared bridge and structure plans.
• Directs the preparation and development of the bridge and structure standards, specifications, and cost and time estimates.
• Determines the applicability of new bridge and structure standards, materials, and designs.
• Develops and trains personnel in bridge science and technology.
• Assigns, motivates, develops, and evaluates subordinate personnel.
