Job summary

Burgess & Niple is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our team in Mentor, Akron, or Erie offices. You will lead transportation bridge design, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients to define scopes and fees.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program and 5–10 years of bridge experience, with strong communication and CAD skills. PE preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE registration preferred, indicating advanced licensure.
• 5–10 years of related bridge design experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Microstation or AutoCAD plan development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical designs on transportation projects.
• Mentor and coach junior staff on transportation design.
• Develop unique and complex bridge solutions for projects.
• Meet with clients with CSMs to develop scopes and fees.
• Manage tasks and technical designs on projects.
• Collaborate with other offices on future pursuits.
