Job summary

Arcadis seeks a self-motivated Bridge CADD Drafter to join the Ohio Bridge Group in Akron, OH or Columbus, OH. You will develop bridge drawings and support design deliverables, leveraging Microstation and Open Bridge Modeler for multiple clients across urban and rural projects.

You will verify drawings for accuracy, assist with submittals, and help train junior staff while contributing to state and local project standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge design and drafting.
• Proficient with CAD, particularly Microstation, Open Roads, and Open Bridge.
• Familiarity with Ohio DOT design standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop bridge plans utilizing Microstation and Open Bridge Modeler.
• Perform structural and bridge design tasks including geometry and quantity calculations.
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
• Serve as a technical resource to assist others on the team with plan production.
• Work on a wide variety of urban and rural projects from preliminary design through final structures plans.
• Verify drawings for accuracy and assist in the review of project submittals for compliance with design checklist and drafting standards.
• Develop CADD Standard Operating Procedures for state and local clients.
