Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a self-motivated Bridge CADD Drafter to join our Ohio Bridge Group in Akron, OH or Columbus, OH. You will assist the team in the development of bridge and structural drawings to ensure high quality deliverables for multiple clients.

The role involves developing bridge plans with Microstation and Open Bridge Modeler, performing design tasks, and supporting training. You will verify drawings, work on varied projects, and contribute to CADD SOPs while collaborating with clients

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge CAD drafting or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software, especially Microstation, Open Roads and Open Bridge.
• Familiarity with Ohio DOT design standards and policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop bridge plans using Microstation and Open Bridge Modeler.
• Perform structural and bridge design tasks including geometry and quantity calculations.
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
• Serve as a technical resource for plan production and drawing verification.
• Work on diverse urban and rural projects from preliminary design to final plans.
• Develop and implement CADD Standard Operating Procedures for state and local clients.
