Job summary

New America is seeking a Senior Visual Designer and Brand Lead who will serve as the in-house graphic design lead for our creative products, strategic communications materials, select publications, and other digital assets.

The Senior Visual Designer and Brand Lead will define and drive enterprise-wide brand standards, collaborating across the organization to deliver high-impact visuals that support our mission and engage audiences, while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining top quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in graphic design with branding focus.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Experience with Figma or Canva for collaboration.
• Strong typography, layout, color theory, and visual storytelling.
• Experience using Asana or similar project management tools.
• Portfolio demonstrating brand development and design systems.
• Commitment to inclusive and accessible design.

Responsibilities

• Lead on brand identity and graphic design for New America, serving as chief enterprise-level brand champion.
• Manage brand templates for social media graphics, newsletters, infographics, and data visuals.
• Provide design support for digital products including website features and emails.
• Produce collateral for annual reports, publications, and campaigns.
• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle from concept to final product and manage timelines.
