Job summary

Payward is seeking a senior Brand Designer to own and evolve the core brand system across its crypto-focused brands. You will raise quality, define visual identity standards, and collaborate with pod designers, marketers, and product partners to ensure coherence as products grow.

You will translate complex crypto concepts into actionable brand guidance, lead constructive design reviews, and stay ahead of evolving design tools and AI in shaping brand practice.

Qualifications

• Deep experience as a brand designer in agency, in-house, or both.
• Systems thinking as a default mode; you see patterns and solve for the whole.
• Strong experience with motion or working with motion designers; comfortable with digital brand touchpoints.
• Brand identity expertise: understand how visual systems create meaning, trust, and recognition at scale.
• Strategic affinity—you define what the brand should stand for before execution.
• Strong communicator who can articulate brand decisions to designers, PMs, marketers, and leadership.
• A portfolio showing clear visual systems, coherent brand thinking, and that your work improved others' work.
• Mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with AI reshaping brand practice.
• Genuine curiosity about crypto, technology, and financial ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the core brand system: guidelines, libraries, templates, and assets used daily by pods.
• Raise brand quality across pods by creating resources and enabling best work.
• Develop and maintain visual identity standards across Payward’s brands as products evolve.
• Define how our brand should behave across emerging surfaces and AI-generated outputs.
• Collaborate with pod designers, marketers, and product partners to fix root causes of system breaks.
• Translate crypto rails and on-chain concepts into clear, usable brand guidance for non-brand specialists.
• Lead design reviews with a constructive approach that opens doors for teams.
• Stay ahead of tools and AI changes to keep Payward’s brand system current.
