Job summary

Schuman Cheese is seeking a seasoned brand leader to drive growth for the Cello® brand. You will shape category strategies, manage the P&L, and translate consumer insights into winning initiatives.

Responsibilities include forecasting, launching innovations, and leading cross-functional teams to optimize ROI and elevate brand storytelling across channels. This role offers a strong impact on portfolio performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of consumer packaged goods marketing experience with P&L responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Proven success leading innovation, commercialization, and new product launches.
  • Track record of leading brand growth initiatives, launches, or brand refreshes.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing programs across shopper marketing, digital, social, media, and eCommerce channels.

  • Represent the brand with customers, retailers, and industry partners to build relationships and advance business goals.
  • Contribute to broader marketing initiatives and support key business priorities across the portfolio.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • 5+ years of consumer packaged goods marketing experience with P&L responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading innovation, commercialization, and new product launches.
  • Track record of leading successful brand growth initiatives, launches, or brand refreshes.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing programs across shopper marketing, digital, social, media, and eCommerce channels.
  • Hands‑on experience leveraging syndicated data sources such as Circana (IRI), NielsenIQ, and SPINS to analyze performance, identify opportunities, and inform business decisions.
  • Experience managing agency and external partner relationships.
  • Experience in cheese, dairy, specialty foods, or adjacent consumer categories is a plus.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and linking marketing investments to business performance.

Supervisory Responsibility

Future state may include supervising a Brand Manager.

Work Environment

Typical office working environment which includes a workstation equipped with a computer and other office supplies necessary for daily tasks. Typically climate‑controlled to provide a comfortable working temperature year‑round. Lighting is usually a mix of natural and artificial sources to ensure sufficient lamination.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time salaried position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 45 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours.

  • 1. Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.
  • 2. Typing: Frequent use of hands to type on a keyboard and operate a computer mouse.
  • 3. Visual Requirements: Extended periods of viewing a computer screen and reading printed or digital documents.

  • 5. Manual Dexterity: The ability to handle office equipment, such as phones, printers, and copiers, and to file documents.
  • 6. Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • 7. Lifting: Occasionally lifting and carrying light objects, typically up to 20 pounds, such as files, documents, or office supplies.
  • 8. Reaching and Bending: Reaching above shoulder height and bending to access files and office supplies.
  • 9. Hearing: Adequate hearing ability to participate in meetings and teleconferences.
Compensation and Benefits

The budgeted salary range for this position is $130,000-$165,000, with a 12.5% annual bonus potential.
