Job summary

Novig is seeking a Lead Brand Designer to join a small, high-output creative team in NYC. You will shape the brand identity, own concepts end-to-end, and collaborate with product, marketing, and leadership. Expect significant autonomy and a role that influences brand and product systems.

You will lead design across campaigns and marketing, while managing contracted designers and ensuring the brand remains cohesive as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of design experience at top brands, studios, or agencies.
• A world-class portfolio that showcases your eye and your craft.
• Impeccable taste. Probably the single most important thing.
• The confidence to operate with real autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Solidify Novig's brand identity and evolve it as we scale. Then be its keeper.
• Own design concepts with real autonomy, from art direction through execution, across brand, campaign, and marketing work.
• Act as a strategic design lead. Partner directly with peers in product, marketing, and leadership.
• Look for places Novig's design can level up. If you spot an opportunity worth chasing, pitch it and go make it.
• Partner with product design to create graphics (icons, illustrations, promotional assets) and branded moments within the app.
• Direct contract designers on overflow work.
