Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Branch Manager III in Chico, CA to lead a multi-functional team and drive profitability. You will oversee sales initiatives, supervise staff, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across operations.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on management to deliver outstanding service and branch performance. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and at least 5 years of profitable branch management, P&L responsibility, and strong customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and 5+ years of business management with P&L responsibility
• Strong sales and customer service experience required; outside sales experience preferred
• Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation
• Proficient computer skills; knowledge of equipment rental industry preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge/experience in equipment rental industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service and profitability
• Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives to grow revenue
• Prepare reports including profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, budgets and other operational status reports
• Manage personnel matters and safety compliance across the branch (OSHA, DOT, training)
• Lead the team to deliver excellent customer service and a safe, efficient work environment
• Other duties as needed
