Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Senior Branch Engineer to provide technical oversight for our crane and rigging projects from the Mobile, AL branch. You will lead high-risk lift analyses, develop lift plans, and guide the engineering team to ensure safe, compliant execution.

Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, performing load calculations, and coordinating with sales and site teams to optimize costs and outcomes. Travel to sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in crane, rigging, or heavy lifting with project engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Guide junior branch engineers on technical matters and support their development.
• Oversee pre-contract engineering for high-risk lift activities and ensure technical accuracy.
• Create detailed lift plans, assess load calculations, and select equipment.
• Collaborate with sales, site teams, and clients to align on technical strategy and safety.
