Job summary

Barnhart Energy Company is seeking a Senior Branch Engineer in Mobile, AL to provide technical oversight for crane and rigging projects. You will guide engineers, lead pre-contract lift planning, and work with sales and site teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires 5+ years in crane/rigger heavy lift, strong CAD/3D skills, and a PE license preferred. Travel to project sites is required; relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; OSHA 10.
• Experience in crane, rigging or heavy lifting industries; 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Guide junior branch engineers on technical matters and mentor team.
• Oversee pre-contract engineering for high-risk lift activities.
• Coordinate with sales, site teams and clients for technical alignment.
• Create detailed lift plans considering load calculations and equipment capacities.
• Ensure lifting operations comply with OSHA, ASME, AISC and ANSI standards.
• Contribute to safety, efficiency and cost optimization in proposals.
