Job summary

Akebono Brake Corporation is seeking an engineer to test, develop, and validate brake component designs or new applications of existing designs. The role involves planning and executing experimental tests, analyzing dimensional data, and ensuring compliance with customer specs and schedules.

Responsibilities include leading technicians in test operations, creating test procedures, and improving test equipment and methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university is required.
• At least four years of related experience in brake design or testing.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering will receive higher consideration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on experimental and validation tests on brake products.
• Plan and analyze dimensional measurement of brake components.
• Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions for non-compliance.
• Work with design engineer and project manager to meet specs and timing.
• Design and write test procedures; lead technicians in testing tasks.
• Create fixture drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks with GD&T.
