Job summary

Akebono Brake Coporation is seeking an engineer to test, develop, and validate new or improved automotive brake component designs and their applications. The role involves planning and executing tests, analyzing measurements, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and schedules.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Engineering with four+ years of related experience; a Master’s degree is a plus and may be given higher consideration. Proficiency with CAD software is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university and at least four years of related experience to foundation brake design or testing.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering will receive higher consideration.

Responsibilities

• Plans, executes and reports on experimental and validation tests on brake products.
• Plans and analyzes dimensional measurement of brake components.
• Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions using Six Sigma, Shainin, etc.
• Works with design engineer and project manager to ensure product compliance with customer specs and timing.
• Designs and writes test procedures.
• Leads technicians in test and measurement execution.
• Recommends and implements improvements to test equipment and procedures.
