The role involves patrolling, questioning individuals, and preventing illegal entry, with potential reassignment to the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force before returning to CBP duties.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in law enforcement or related work demonstrating ability to arrest and use firearms.
• Ability to interpret and enforce immigration laws and related regulations.
• Experience gathering intelligence and developing case work for investigations.
• Must be proficient in Spanish (language requirement).

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration or customs violations.
• Prevent unlawful entry and apprehend violators at borders using various assets.
• Patrol borders and coastal areas, coordinating with other agencies as needed.
• Operate in shifts and may work overtime as required.
