CS&L CPAs, a full-service accounting firm with 70+ years serving Southwest Florida, seeks a Senior Bookkeeper for our downtown Bradenton office. You’ll maintain financial records, reconcile ledgers, and prepare reports while supporting AP/AR, banking, and tax filing duties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a senior bookkeeper or comparable accounting role.
• Demonstrated experience reconciling all balance sheet accounts.
• Proficiency in preparing and posting adjusting journal entries.
• Experience generating, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements.
• Ability to analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Experience with full-charge bookkeeping and financial statement prep.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience with Bill.com, Sage Intacct, and ADP is a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records; ensure correct ledger entries.
• Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger and prepare statements.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking activities.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and controls.
• Assist external auditors with documentation for annual audit.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax forms as needed.
• Coordinate with accounting software vendors for updates and enhancements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
