Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client’s Massachusetts team, supporting daily financial operations and reporting to the Controller to ensure accurate records. The role emphasizes hands-on accounting, payroll processing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include AP/AR management, payroll, reconciliations, budgeting support, tax reporting, and onboarding/offboarding finance processes.

Qualifications

• Prior bookkeeping or general accounting experience required.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Bill.com strongly preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as a team member.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain payroll-related records.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and invoices.
• Reconcile corporate credit cards and petty cash accounts.
• Assist with budgeting activities and management reporting.
• Prepare and file monthly tax-related reporting.
• Maintain HR and payroll files.
• Support financial processes related to customer onboarding and offboarding.
• Troubleshoot and maintain financial and billing-related systems. Respond to customer and stakeholder financial inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.
