Ledgent, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day accounting for a growing organization in Sacramento, CA. This onsite, full-time role requires managing the full accounting cycle, payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting for leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of bookkeeping/ accounting experience, strong QuickBooks Desktop or Online skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Independent work and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• 3+ years in Senior Bookkeeper or Full Charge Bookkeeper roles.
• Ability to manage full accounting cycle independently.
• Strong QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Maintain General Ledger and ensure accurate records.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, loans, and balance sheet accounts.
• Process payroll and payroll reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting.
• Prepare and file sales/use tax returns.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
• Assist with budgeting and variance analysis.
• Support audits and tax preparation.
• Research discrepancies and improve processes.
