Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist Engineer for Bolted Joints to lead fastener design, standardization, and governance across Off-Road Vehicles. You will guide data-driven decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with global teams to improve bolted joint performance and commonality.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, Creo experience, and the ability to influence in a matrixed organization. Domestic/international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years related product design or mechanical/systems engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEA, tolerancing and engineering drawings for fastener standards.
• Ability to analyze complex data and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Experience with 3-D CAD systems; Creo preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to influence across functions.
• Experience leading through influence in matrixed global teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for fasteners and bolted joints across NPI and production.
• Analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations for leaders.
• Evaluate deviations, changes, validation activities and make recommendations.
• Review/approve bolted joint tests, new fastener part numbers and drawings.
• Lead fastener standardization and governance; maintain standard library.
• Develop and improve bolted joint and fastener guidelines and tools.
• Provide leadership on cross-functional teams to drive standardization.
• Mentor engineers in bolted joint design and library use.
• Travel domestically and internationally to engage with locations and partners.
