Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks Sales & Service (CBSS) designs, installs, rents, retrofits, repairs, and services integrated boiler and burner systems. You will wire and commission control panels, assemble fuel skids and condensate tanks, and perform field start-ups to ensure safe, efficient boiler operation.

You’ll troubleshoot pneumatic and electrical control strategies, read blueprints, and collaborate across departments to meet safety and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two (2) years of electrical troubleshooting/technical background.
• Valid driver’s license with a strong safety record.
• Comfort reading blueprints/wiring diagrams and following written/verbal instructions.
• Able to troubleshoot with or without full documentation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in plant settings.

Responsibilities

• Wire controls and motors for watertube and firetube boilers and their auxiliary systems.
• Build and test control panels using layouts and wiring schematics.
• Assemble and validate fuel skids; build/test condensate tanks and deaerators.
• Start up rental boilers in the field and set safe, efficient combustion.
• Rebuild control valves and regulators; specify trims, springs, and oil gun lengths and sizes.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics; troubleshoot with or without full documentation.
• Set combustion on boilers with pneumatic and electrical controls, including systems with superheaters, desuperheaters, and economizers.
• Maintain tools, monitors, and inventory; collaborate across departments to meet cost and schedule targets.
