Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree and about 9 years in property and casualty claims, with a preferred AIC designation. Strong negotiation, analytical and leadership capabilities are essential for managing complex claims and guiding teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages a large inventory of complex claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Plans and conducts complex claims investigations to confirm coverage and liability/damages.
• Analyses and negotiates settlements within authority; may attend arbitrations or trials.
• Conveys complex information regarding coverage and settlements to insureds, claimants, and partners.
• Authorizes payments within assigned authority and ensures timely payments.
• Maintains detailed claim files and correspondence; reports and settlements.
