Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, a Munich Re company, is seeking an experienced Liability Claims Specialist to manage moderate to complex bodily injury and liability claims. The role involves evaluating coverage, liability, and damages, negotiating settlements, and building advanced technical expertise within a collaborative Munich Re-backed environment.

Depending on experience, candidates may be considered for multiple levels.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Liability BI claims experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with claims systems and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage and interview insureds, witnesses, and third-party claimants
• Negotiate settlements with individuals, other carriers, and attorneys
• Prepare reports reflecting file activity
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements
• Set and maintain reserves on claim files
• Obtain and review reports and related materials
