Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance seeks a seasoned claims professional to handle high-severity First and Third-Party Bodily Injury cases, including NJ matters from our Connecticut office. You will influence outcomes across Personal Lines and Commercial settings, guiding investigations, reserves, and subrogation while collaborating with defense counsel and SIU.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic reserve management, and skilled negotiation to achieve favorable resolutions and protect policyholders

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years handling bodily injury claims, preferably with complex liability claims experience.
• Deep knowledge of litigation, arbitration, and trial procedures.
• Experience handling New Jersey claims preferred; NJ cases and losses handled from CT office.

Responsibilities

• Investigations with Impact – conduct coverage, liability & injury investigations, securing statements.
• Master Policy Analysis – advise on Excess and Primary coverage matters.
• Lead Field Oversight – direct field investigations and coordinate with vendors.
• Strategic Reserve Management – provide accurate reserve analyses based on developments.
• Litigation & Fraud Prevention – work with defense counsel and SIU to combat fraud.
• Skilled Negotiations – resolve claims through merit-based discussions with parties.
• Subrogation & Recovery – identify and pursue subrogation opportunities.
• Legal Representation – represent Plymouth Rock in arbitrations, depositions, trials.
• Professional Growth & Leadership – participate in training and team initiatives.
