Job description

Senior Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (Senior BCBA)

Location: Naperville Clinic

Salary: $85,000-$90,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-Time (4 office days/week, with 1 flex day after 90-day onboarding)

As a BCBA-owned organization, IABA believes clinical decisions should come from experienced behavior analysts - not a distant corporate structure. As our Senior BCBA, you'll step into a leadership role that blends hands-on clinical oversight with real influence over how care is delivered in your clinic.

You'll oversee your assigned clinic to ensure high-quality outcomes for both clients and their families, lead our parent training curriculum, and partner closely with treating BCBAs to keep every treatment plan individualized and socially valid. You'll also complete assessments and authorizations, step in for caseload coverage when needed, and help shape the next generation of clinicians through case management and staff training.

If you're ready to lead with purpose, mentor with intention, and make a lasting impact on the families you serve, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:
  • Clinical Leadership & Oversight
    • Oversee your assigned clinic to ensure quality outcomes for parent training objectives and client care
    • Lead the IABA parent training curriculum, developing individualized goals in collaboration with each client's treating BCBA
    • Overlap with all assigned clients at minimum once per quarter to set and reinforce socially valid goals
    • Support parents through tele-health, in-office, or in-home sessions depending on funding source
    • Educate and engage clinic parents through weekly or bi-weekly parent training sessions
    • Document parent progress and graph/analyze parent training data using Central Reach or Precision X
  • Assessments & Case Management
    • Complete assessments and authorizations as assigned by the Billing Department, under the supervision of your Clinical Supervisor
    • Coordinate with treating BCBAs throughout the assessment process, including overlaps and treatment plan review
    • Support intake cases in collaboration with the Clinical Director
    • Assist the Clinical Director in assigning case management tasks to RBTs to support quality client care
    • Provide caseload coverage as needed (e.g., during leave, PTO, or a BCBA vacancy)
  • Team Development & Collaboration
    • Work under the guidance of the Chief Clinical Director
    • Support clinical documentation audits, serving as liaison to parents as needed
    • Follow IABA's guidelines for intern supervision
    • Develop training materials for staff and client programming in collaboration with IABA leadership
    • Complete the 8-hour RBT supervision course
Why Senior BCBAs Choose IABA:
  • BCBA-Owned & Clinician-Led - clinical decisions come from experienced behavior analysts, not corporate mandates
  • Work From Home for Indirect Hours - complete programming, documentation, treatment planning, and data analysis remotely
  • Flexible Scheduling - build a workweek that fits your life while meeting your full-time hour requirements
  • Balanced Billable Expectations - 120 hours/month, including 20 hours of non-face-to-face clinical work, with holiday adjustments built in
  • Real Growth & Mentorship - lead intern supervision, shape staff training, and grow your leadership skills

What You'll Bring:

Required

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others and build a shared vision
  • Professional representation of the agency at all times
  • Strong work ethic with reliable follow-through on scheduling commitments
  • Solid assessment and treatment planning skills
  • 2+ years of clinical experience as a BCBA working with children with developmental disabilities or autism

Preferred

  • Experience in parent training and family-centered care
  • Experience supervising and training teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Precision Teaching background

Qualifications:

  • Active state/national certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • NPI number and CAQH profile
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • First Aid/CPR certification (QBS Safety-Care training provided)
