Job summary

Lyten, Inc. seeks a Staff Battery Management System (BMS) Engineer to design, implement, and test BMS software for lithium-sulfur packs. You will refine state estimation algorithms, develop embedded controls, and mentor junior engineers to deliver high-performance, safe battery systems.

You will collaborate across teams, document results, and help shape BMS direction while working as Lyten scales its U.S. and Europe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE or related field.
• 7+ years in battery management system engineering.
• Experience with BMS software and state estimation for packs.
• Familiarity with Simulink, MIL and HIL testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop state of charge, health and power algorithms for Li-S batteries.
• Maintain embedded governing software for BMS controllers.
• Lead integration of BMS hardware and software with packs.
• Test and validate BMS systems with battery packs.
• Mentor a junior BMS software engineer.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews and guide future BMS development.
