Sonos, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for the Connectivity team in Boston.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain Bluetooth software powering the Sonos ecosystem and work with product, QA, mobile, platform, and hardware teams to deliver reliable connectivity across devices. The role emphasizes implementing new Bluetooth features, debugging complex issues, and contributing to automated testing and process improvements, with a hybrid work arrangement in our Boston

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Experience on Linux or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth Classic and/or BLE.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Bluetooth software for Sonos products.
• Implement new Bluetooth features and improve existing functionality.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve software defects and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Mobile, Platform, and Hardware Engineering teams.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and planning.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to improve quality.
• Contribute to engineering process improvements and stay current with Bluetooth standards.
