Tunceli Projects in Fontana, CA seeks a Blow Mold Technician III to lead setup, operation, and optimization of blow molding equipment. This senior role requires extensive blow molding and PLC experience to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality output.

The technician will mentor operators, support continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to maximize equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in blow molding processing and maintenance in manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of machine setup, processing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery and interpreting fault codes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start up, and optimize blow molding machines for production.
• Perform mold changes, tooling changes, and machine changeovers safely to minimize downtime.
• Install, align, secure, and verify molds and tooling for proper operation and quality.
• Verify mold setup, cooling, and machine functionality before startup.
• Develop and optimize processing parameters to improve cycle times and quality.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and processing issues.
• Diagnose PLC-controlled equipment using ladder logic, HMIs, alarms, and diagnostics.
• Assist with PLC programming modifications under guidance from engineering or manufacturer.
• Read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and blueprints.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance; maintain documentation.
• Calibrate machine settings and monitor product quality; adjust as needed.
• Train and mentor operators and junior technicians.
