Job summary

Constellium seeks an experienced aluminum casting maintenance technician to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble molds and tooling. The role involves setting up molds, interpreting drawings, and performing preventive maintenance in a high‑temperature foundry environment.

You will diagnose issues, document maintenance actions in CMMS, and train junior technicians while collaborating with production teams. Rotation may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of machinist experience in industrial manufacturing.
• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or vocational training is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with hand, power, and diagnostic tools; strong problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds and bottom blocks based on ingot size and ensure proper alignment.
• Inspect mold/tooling for defects using precision instruments.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues affecting production.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on molds/tooling and equipment.
• Adhere to safety procedures for molten metal handling and high-temperature environments.
• Provide technical guidance and training to new maintenance technicians.
