Job summary

Global Settlement in Miami, FL is seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer to own the settlement path of our L1 network, focusing on transaction lifecycle, finality, and recovery for stablecoins, CBDCs, and tokenized-asset payments. You will work hands-on on node infrastructure, consensus, and settlement protocols using Rust or Go, with 5+ years in software engineering and 3+ in blockchain protocol work.

This role requires production-grade blockchain experience and a deep understanding of security

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with 3+ years in blockchain protocol or node infrastructure.
• Production-grade blockchain experience beyond smart contracts.
• Hands-on experience with node infrastructure, consensus algorithms, and distributed design.
• Cryptographic primitives, key management, and on-chain security practices.
• Experience with Ethereum, Hyperledger, Canton, or comparable L1/L2 networks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the settlement path across the network from submission to deterministic finality.
• Harden consensus and recovery under partial failure and edge cases.
• Build reconciliation and audit surfaces for institutional clients.
• Own incident paths for chain-level settlement faults and drive fixes.
• Instrument latency, throughput, and correctness to preempt client issues.
• Contribute to cross-chain design and write RFCs and architecture decisions.
