Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Blockchain Networks team within the Platform group. You will build infrastructure that abstracts blockchain complexity into reliable APIs and partner with product teams to drive adoption across Coinbase.

You will own multi-quarter initiatives, optimize latency and cost, and shape data contracts while developing platform primitives and SDKs for internal use.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of production services
• Proven track record designing, scaling, and maintaining distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with at least two: Golang, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB
• Direct experience with blockchain protocols or crypto infrastructure
• Ability to decompose complex systems into well-bounded microservices with clear API contracts
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve efficiency, cost, and quality

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of blockchain network infrastructure that abstracts blockchain complexity into reliable APIs
• Lead multi-quarter initiatives including new chain integrations and data migrations to improve latency and cost
• Define and maintain APIs, SLOs, and observability with on-call ownership
• Partner with product/platform teams to ship SDKs and platform primitives
• Build deep technical context across multiple blockchain protocols and apply it to cross-chain operations
