Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Blockchain Networks team to build infrastructure that integrates blockchain protocols with internal services, delivering reliable APIs and platform primitives. You will own cross-chain initiatives and contribute to latency, reliability, and cost improvements across the crypto stack.

You will define APIs, SLOs, and observability, collaborate with product teams, and support adoption of SDKs.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience, with ownership of production services in a service-oriented architecture.
Experience designing, scaling, and maintaining distributed, high-throughput, low-latency systems.
Hands-on experience with two or more: Golang, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, or similar infra tech.

Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of blockchain network infrastructure that abstracts blockchain complexity into reliable platform APIs
Lead multi-quarter initiatives including new chain integrations, re-architecture efforts, and data migrations that improve system latency, reliability, and cost
Define and maintain APIs, SLOs, and observability for the systems you build, including on-call ownership
Partner with product and platform teams to establish data contracts and ship SDKs and platform primitives
Build deep technical context across multiple top blockchain protocols and apply that knowledge to simplify cross-chain operations
