Job summary

MoonPay is seeking a backend/infra engineer to scale transaction infrastructure and cross-chain flows. You will design high-volume broadcasting pipelines, manage transaction lifecycles, and improve reliability in a production blockchain environment.

You have hands-on experience with live networks (ETH, Bitcoin, Solana), understand MEV and pricing impact, and can build resilient systems with auditability. This role requires ownership, incident response, and collaboration with product managers.

Qualifications

• Strong backend and platform engineering fundamentals.
• Experience operating production systems with real uptime requirements.
• Hands-on experience interacting with live blockchain networks in production.
• Clear understanding of transaction lifecycle in at least 1 blockchain and failure recovery.
• You think in failure modes, not just happy paths.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve high-volume transaction broadcasting pipelines.
• Manage transaction lifecycle across systems and chains.
• Detect, retry, rebroadcast, and safely recover stuck transactions.
• Contribute to wallet infrastructure and automation systems.
• Build infrastructure for cross-chain and multi-step flows.
• Design state machines and recovery strategies for partial failures.
• Improve monitoring, observability, and operational guardrails.
• Participate in incident response and post-mortems.
• Develop and maintain thoroughly tested, high-quality, performant code.
