Job summary

MoonPay is seeking a highly skilled backend engineer to own and scale transaction infrastructure. You will design and optimize high-volume broadcasting pipelines, manage lifecycle, and ensure reliable recovery of stuck transactions. You’ll contribute to wallet infrastructure, implement safe parallel processing, and raise observability and guardrails.

Cross-chain and DeFi flow experience a plus. You'll work in a high-velocity environment where ownership and practical problem solving matter.

Qualifications

• Strong backend/platform engineering fundamentals.
• Experience operating production systems with uptime requirements.
• Hands-on experience interacting with live blockchain networks in production.
• Clear understanding of transaction lifecycle in at least 1 blockchain and failure recovery.
• You think in failure modes, not just happy paths.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve high-volume transaction broadcasting pipelines.
• Manage transaction lifecycle
• Detect, retry, rebroadcast, and safely recover stuck transactions
• Contribute to wallet infrastructure and automation systems
• Implement safe parallel transaction handling
• Improve monitoring, observability, and operational guardrails
• Design systems with financial correctness and reconciliation and auditability in mind
• Build infrastructure for cross-chain and DeFi flows
