Job summary

Anza is a Solana R&D lab building high-performance blockchain infrastructure. The Software Engineer, Consensus, will fortify Anza's Agave client and the broader Solana network, focusing on secure, scalable consensus for block validity and ordering.

You will collaborate with protocol engineers and security teams to optimize performance and reliability. The role emphasizes hands-on development, testing, and documentation to support future growth in decentralized applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Eng, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with core infrastructure software and distributed systems.
• Experience with consensus algorithms and blockchain technology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize consensus mechanisms to enhance throughput and stability of the Solana network.
• Coordinate fair and efficient agreement on block production among validators.
• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within the consensus mechanisms.
• Improve scalability and performance to handle increasing transaction volumes.
• Create and execute tests including stress tests, fault injection, and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including core protocol engineers, security, and infra.
• Maintain documentation and conduct peer code reviews to uphold quality.
