Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Senior Biotechnologist Associate II for a site-based role in Portsmouth, NH. You will provide technical expertise, support operational excellence, and mentor colleagues to drive continuous improvement in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

The position features a Rotational Day Shift, with a 2 on/2 off/3 on pattern and weekend pay where applicable. A strong safety, quality, and compliance mindset is essential, along with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; science-related degree preferred for advancement.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated environments is valued.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for manufacturing processes and equipment within your area of expertise.
• Support the safe and compliant execution of manufacturing operations in a GMP environment.
• Partner with customer and internal teams to support technical transfer and process implementation.
• Train, mentor, and support manufacturing colleagues on new equipment, systems, and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, systems, and process challenges to maintain operational excellence.
• Support production documentation, electronic batch record review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
