Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee and maintain company facilities, coordinating improvements, safety procedures, and equipment management across lab and office spaces. You will lead vendors, supervise technicians, and ensure compliant operations in a biotech environment.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in facility management, HVAC/electrical/plumbing knowledge, and strong communication skills to support internal teams and external contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate's degree with 4+ years in facility management or related field.
• Biotech/pharma facility experience preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, lighting.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and contractors.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage facility improvement projects and address complex issues.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for services.
• Maintain facility documentation, safety procedures, and equipment manuals.
• Manage facilities help desk requests with strong customer service.
• Lead internal relocations, reconfigurations, and space management.
• Oversee maintenance trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, lighting).
• Coordinate logistics and setup for corporate events and conference rooms.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of furniture, fixtures, equipment.
• Provide guidance to junior facilities technicians.
• Monitor and manage gases for laboratory use.
• Conduct daily/weekly building walks and plan improvements with operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
