Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences is seeking a Facilities Specialist to oversee and maintain facilities and equipment across lab and office spaces in San Diego. You will coordinate improvement projects, work with contractors and vendors, and ensure safety procedures and documentation are up to date.

You will support lab relocations, manage help desk requests, and supervise routine maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related facilities experience.
• Biotech/Pharma facility work preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage facility improvement projects and address complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized facility services.
• Maintain facility documentation and safety procedures.
• Manage facilities help desk requests with high level of service and communication.
• Lead internal relocations and space planning, including equipment setup and decommissioning.
• Supervise maintenance trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and lighting.
• Oversee logistics for events and conference room setups.
• Daily and weekly facility walks to monitor safety and condition; plan improvements with the operations team.
