Job summary
LGC Biosearch Technologies seeks a Senior Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract at our Petaluma site. You will lead hands-on development of automation, robotics, and liquid-handling workflows for oligonucleotide manufacturing, coordinating across Manufacturing, MSAT, Process Design, Facilities, Quality, OT, IT, and vendors to design, implement, test, and transfer knowledge.
You will drive safety culture, optimize processes, and deliver scalable automation solutions with strong emphasis on
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Senior hands-on automation design and deployment in biotech/pharma
- Experience with robotics, liquid handling and instrument integration
- Ability to translate process requirements into scalable automation designs
- Strong documentation and validation skillset including IQ/OQ/PQ
Responsibilities
- Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and handoff
- Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize automated systems
- Support safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with MSAT, Facilities, Quality, and IT teams
- Provide training materials and knowledge transfer to staff
