Job summary

LGC Biosearch Technologies in Petaluma, California, is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract to lead automation and robotics projects in oligonucleotide manufacturing. You will design, implement, and optimize automated systems to improve productivity, quality, and reliability.

Collaborating with MSAT, Facilities, Quality, and IT, you will drive process improvements from concept through commissioning and knowledge transfer to staff and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Champion a proactive safety culture in automation activities.
• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot automation solutions across workflows.
• Evaluate manual processes and identify automation opportunities to improve throughput and data integrity.
• Create design specs, test protocols, and commissioning documentation.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training materials for internal sustainment.
