Job summary

Emmes Group is seeking a Sr. Biostatistician Manager to oversee statistical activities across a broad research area. You will guide senior staff, manage budgets and staffing, and serve as the client point of contact on large projects, ensuring scientifically valid and feasible materials.

You will collaborate with the Director of Biostatistics to shape strategy and participate in recruiting and mentoring, while representing Emmes at sponsor and regulatory meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related field.
• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related field preferred.
• 7+ years (PhD) or 10+ years (MS) leading a clinical research team and supervising senior statistical staff.
• Expertise in state-of-the-art data manipulation and statistical analyses.
• Proven effective leadership of a clinical research team.
• Strong skills in prioritization, problem solving, organization, decision making, time management, negotiation, mentoring and planning.
• Self-motivated, proactive and detail oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversees statistical activities and deliverables across a broad research area.
• Provides guidance and oversight to senior statistical staff and ensures timely high-quality completion of tasks.
• Manages budgets and personnel across projects to ensure staffing adequacy and schedules.
• Develops strategic vision for the department in collaboration with the Director of Biostatistics.
• Represents Emmes at sponsor, regulatory, investigator or safety meetings as needed.
• Participates in recruiting activities for new statistical staff and performs hiring decisions.
• Bounds of statistical support across projects by serving as internal point of contact for budgeting and staffing.
