CSL Behring is seeking an Associate Director, Research Biostatistics in Waltham, MA. You will lead strategic statistics across discovery, translational, and early programs, while actively contributing to study design and innovative analyses.

You will mentor teams, develop new statistical methods, and partner with Biometrics, Bioinformatics, and data science groups to generate evidence for portfolio decisions.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics required.
• 8+ years applying statistics in preclinical or biomarker-rich environments.
• Track record using advanced quantitative methods for biological data.
• Strong programming in R and reproducible workflows; publications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic statistical leadership across discovery to early research programs.
• Lead complex analyses across preclinical and translational datasets using Bayesian, causal, and ML methods.
• Develop innovative methods and reproducible analytical workflows in R.
• Support biomarker identification, evaluation, and validation activities.
• Translate data into actionable insights for target evaluation and portfolio decisions.
• Collaborate with Translational Bioinformatics, Global Biometrics, Data Management, and PK/PD teams.
• Contribute to publications, ethics submissions, and external collaborations.
• Mentor statisticians and scientists; foster a culture of excellence.
• Promote data-driven decision making and provide analytical training.
• Manage external relationships with collaborators and CROs.
