Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Manager, Biospecimen Lead to independently manage biospecimen collection, shipment, storage and analysis within therapeutic areas. You will drive strategy, vendor oversight and data delivery to support clinical decisions.

As SME, you will guide protocol feasibility, risk mitigation, and process improvements while mentoring junior colleagues and aligning stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of clinical biospecimen procedures and lifecycle.
• Advanced vendor experience with labs, CROs or storage vendors.
• 5+ years in academic, biotech, healthcare or pharma industries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee biospecimen management across 5-15 clinical trials.
• Develop Specimen Management Plan with risks and mitigations.
• Provide protocol-level biospecimen input for feasibility and compliance.
• Track status and reconcile biospecimens using internal/external systems.
• Coordinate vendor documents and ensure alignment with SOPs.
• Deliver regular status updates to core clinical team.
• Lead cross-functional projects to optimize workflows and adopt new tech.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain advanced domain knowledge.
