Job summary

Jabil BIOS/UEFI firmware engineer needed to support development, integration, and validation for server platforms. You will contribute to platform bring-up, boot flow validation, and issue triage with cross-functional teams across Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, BMC, and Validation groups.

The role requires 5–7 years in BIOS/firmware or embedded software, strong C/C++, familiarity with x86 architecture, and hands-on debugging skills to ensure platform readiness for milestones and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5-7 years of BIOS/firmware/embedded software or low-level platform development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ and firmware debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with x86 system architecture and firmware boot flow.
• Experience with server, storage, or networking platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and debug BIOS/UEFI firmware features per platform requirements.
• Support platform bring-up, boot flow validation, subsystem enablement, and triage issues.
• Analyze firmware defects, collect logs, perform root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, BMC, Validation, and Systems teams.
• Support BIOS validation, regression testing, and readiness for milestones and manufacturing builds.
• Maintain firmware documentation, release notes, and issue tracking; ensure code quality.
