Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in research compliance, bioresources management, or related regulatory field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and institutional research compliance regulations (USDA, NIH, FDA guidelines).
• Strong proficiency with documentation systems and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee compliance activities related to bioresources management, including animal care, tissue banking, and biological specimen handling.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs aligned with federal, state, and institutional regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit regulatory documentation, reports, and applications to oversight bodies such as IACUC, Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and other relevant agencies.
• Conduct compliance audits and assessments to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive records and databases related to bioresources protocols, approvals, and ongoing compliance activities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for research teams regarding compliance requirements and best practices.
• Coordinate training programs and educational sessions on compliance policies and procedures for research staff.
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare materials for institutional review meetings and compliance presentations.
• Collaborate with research coordinators, principal investigators, and administrative staff to ensure seamless compliance operations.
• Analyze compliance data and generate reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
