Job summary

Parexel International is seeking a Scientist 3 for Biophysical and Materials Analytical Characterization, full-time, onsite in West Point, PA. The role involves vaccine substance/product characterization in a GMP-like environment and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities include testing, documentation, instrument upkeep, and sample analysis (DLS, SLS, MFI, flow cytometry) while maintaining safety and compliance. Excellent communication and office software skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Understanding of technical problem solving and ability to communicate scientific concepts
• Collaborative ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams to deliver goals
• Experience in a laboratory environment and strong organizational skills to conduct procedures
• Strong communications skills for data review and presentation
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• High compliance with good documentation practices, OSHA standards, SOPs, and audits

Responsibilities

• Complete vaccine related testing and document preparation
• Maintain a safe laboratory and upkeep instruments
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness and safety-first mindset
• Provide support to scientists developing novel vaccines
• Prepare samples and related documentation
• Analyze samples for particle size distribution using DLS, SLS, MFI and flow cytometry
• Monitor and order lab supplies, enable sample shipments
