Job summary

Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform PM, calibration, repairs and safety testing on anesthesia machines, sterilizers, ventilators, ultrasound, laser and lab equipment. You will document results and coordinate with Clinical Engineering management to minimize hospital disruption.

The role requires an AS degree in medical electronics or related field with 5+ years of device maintenance experience; CBET/CLET preferred. On-call coverage is included.

Qualifications

• Associates of Applied Sciences in medical electronics or related field; CBET/CLET preferred.
• 5+ years' experience on medical devices and clinical equipment.
• Ability to follow regulatory and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs Planned Maintenance (PM) on general and specialized clinical equipment.
• Performs calibration, repairs and safety testing per manufacturer guidance.
• Communicates repair status and coordinates with Clinical Engineering managers.
• Provides on-call service coverage on a rotating basis.
• Maintains documentation of maintenance work and regulatory compliance.
