Job summary

Trinity Health in Ohio is hiring a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain, repair and calibrate a wide range of medical equipment. The role supports PM and safety testing, and may include on-call coverage across hospitals.

The successful candidate will have an Associate degree in medical electronics, 3–5 years of experience, and CBET certification preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in medical electronics or related field; CBET certification preferred.
• Three to five years of experience performing maintenance on medical devices or clinical support equipment.
• Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Ability to train CE associates on use of select test equipment.
• OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, CAHO, EOC, FDA regulations knowledge.
• Strong customer service communications with hospital personnel and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Performs PM procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.
• Performs corrective maintenance including diagnosing problems using electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and other principles.
• Notifies CE Managers and Regional Director of repair status and delays as necessary.
• Interacts with clinical staff to schedule PM procedures with minimal interference to departments.
• Orders parts and supplies as needed and submits proper requests.
• Provides on-call service coverage for multiple hospitals and off-site locations as assigned.
• Assists and trains Bio-Medical Equipment Technician I as needed.
