Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diagnostic, laboratory, and therapeutic medical equipment across the medical center. Position requires minimal supervision and a valid Maryland driver’s license with up to two points on driving record.

Responsibilities include repairs, calibration, safety checks, documentation, and participation in inspections. Vehicle ownership is required for travel to various departments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience as a BMET with vocational training.
• 4+ years experience as SR BMET with AA degree or military training.
• 2+ years experience as SR BMET with B.S. degree.
• Must have own vehicle and be willing to use it for work with mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Repair, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, clean, and perform safety checks on biomedical equipment with minimal supervision.
• Determine when systems should be removed from service or salvaged according to specifications.
• Maintain records of maintenance, inventory, safety inspections, and equipment performance.
• Select and install new clinical equipment and purchase repair parts and accessories as needed.
• Conduct and prepare for inspections.
