Job summary

Luminis Health Inc seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diagnostic, laboratory, and therapeutic medical equipment throughout the medical center with minimal supervision. The role requires careful calibration, safety checks, and documentation of all activities.

Qualifications include 6 years of BMET experience with vocational training, or 4 years with an AA, or 2 years with a BS.

Qualifications

BMET with vocational training and at least 6 years of experience.
SR BMET with AA degree and 4 years of experience.
SR BMET with BS degree and 2 years of experience.
Must have own vehicle and mileage reimbursement policy.

Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision, repairs, calibrates, conducts preventive maintenance, cleans, and safety checks all classes of Biomedical Equipment.
Determine when systems should be removed from service, salvaged, or restored to service per specifications.
Maintain records of maintenance, inventory, and safety inspections.
Select and install new clinical equipment; purchase repair parts per procedures.
Conducts and prepares for inspections.
